| Breaking News |  | Albers Shuts out Lehigh Valley Tuesday, June 6th, 2017: Matt Albers of the Columbus Clippers was masterful today, pitching a 2-hit 6-0 shutout against the Lehigh Valley Iron Pigs and giving his bullpen a rest by going the distance.
According to his manager, "He had command of every ball and every pitch... great location, too." Albers had 5 strikeouts and issued 3 walks in an impressive outing.
Up to now Albers has recorded a record of 3-2. In 2 starts he has fanned 17 batters in 28.1 innings with a 4.45 ERA. |  | Soto Gets Shutout Tuesday, June 6th, 2017: In an outstanding outing, Félix Soto tamed Syracuse on a 3-hit shutout. The Buffalo hurler went the distance, finishing with 7 strikeouts and no walks in the 4-0 win.
"He had a lot of first pitch strikes and kept us off balance with a lot of off-speed stuff," according to the Syracuse manager. "We just didn't get too many balls squared up today."
So far this year Soto has made 12 starts, tossed 90.2 innings, struck out 50 batters and walked 16.
